There will be meditation instructions, dhamma talks and opportunities for interviews. Language: Swedish and English as needed. Fredrika is a small village (300 inhabitants) 100 km west of Umeå. The biggest Buddhist temple in Europe is about to be built there. It is not uncommon to see saffron robed Buddhist munks in wollen socks on the streets of Fredrika. In winter the landscape is heavily snowladen and very still. The air is crisp and clean, and at night the nothern lights paint the sky in different colours. It is an ideal place for meditation. The retreat is held at the old Crown forester´s residence in a beautiful room with a fire place and three high windows facing the lake. Participants limited to 20 people. Fredrika is reached by airplane to Umeå, night train from Stockholm to Vännäs or the buss Lapplandspilen from Stockholm to Åsele. More info when you register! Register soon! She has continued to practice with many other teachers like U Pandita Sayadaw, Joseph Goldstein and Christina Feldman and has done long personal retreats in Asia, USA and England. She is currently leading the sitting group in Stockholm and teaching retreats locally.
